Punjab Village Farm takes inspiration from its traditional mud architecture that dates back to 3000 BC when the Harappan/Indus Valley civilization developed along the Indus River, one of the five rivers of Punjab.

The Cottages are built in a traditional mud house style with the extensive use of mud, baked mud bricks, and timber. The walls are plastered with mud-straw mixture. While the interiors are whitewashed using lime, the exteriors are coated with cow dung & mud mixture, which naturally keeps the rooms cool in summer and warm in winter. This architectural style blends perfectly into the rural landscape of Punjab.

Each Cottage has large windows offering uninterrupted views of the farms. There is a spacious verandah for the guests to unwind, and enjoy the serenity of the place. Huge and naturally lit bathrooms are equipped with modern fixtures, yet they retain their rustic character and charm.

The cottages are well furnished with traditional furniture and top-class mattresses, linen, light fittings & bath fixtures.

Despite our rural setting, we take utmost care to provide all possible creature comforts to our guests while considering the sustainability of the local resources.
